PET PEEVE!

Tuesday, November 01, 2005

I am not one of those people who kid myself about my personality flaws. I am fully aware of what they are and I know what sets me off. I know one of my major problems is I have this TEMPER! I have a really bad temper and I can also have a bad attitude when it comes to certain things. Let me tell you why I am even bringing this up.

As you know I have been redecorating and it seems like I have been spending A LOT in Home Depot. I swear that is like my home away from home. So yesterday I went there yet again to pick up some lumber to redo my shelves and some paint to paint it white and all that. I get to the register and I had just applied for a credit card but didn’t have the info on me. Well I wait on this long line to get to the register for the girl to tell me to go to the customer service booth where I had to wait on yet another long line for the girl there to tell me go back to the register because they have to call it in. So needless to say I was ANNOYED because my biggest pet peeve is when you go into a store and the act like they don’t want to do their job and you’re PUTTING them out. Now granted I may have been upset because I had an incident with the people at Ikea and my drawers that I am STILL waiting for and going through the rigmarole with them, so at this point I was put out and not nice. I gave the cashier ill attitude and the lady on the line that started to grumble because instead of waiting on the line I went to the head of it plus the man who tried to run me over with his big orange cart because I though I was skipping the line. So I not so nicely said Um excuse you but I was here WAY before you rolled your ignant ass over so you would do well to shut the hell up. That shut her up! And ole boy with the cart slowly started to back peddle. UGH People if you don’t want to do customer service then don’t work in the customer service department.

AMEN!!!!

I always say... if you don't like your job... Quit!

I wouldn't imagine you with an attitude though. You look like you're just too sweet for that, but being in NY, anything can happen!

LOL You don't know how many times I've thought that exact same thing. Or my own version there of.

Tell 'em why ya mad Nikay! Luv, let me tell you about Home Depot. It must be in their job description to have rude customer service reps okay?

Because I've been exactly where you are at with this. How about this one. I went to HD to purchase a staple gun and there was a kiosk nearby with a HD employee. I approached him and asked "can you help me with a question I have about staple guns?"

He starts to chuckle and says, "well I don't really know too much about the staple guns as this isn't my dept. But the guy to go to is in aisle 3."

Okay. Well, I was in aisle 13. Now, if you know HD, then you know how far walking all the way down to aisle 3 from 13 is just to ask some guy a question and then for me to reverse my steps and go the other way. Ya feel me luv? So I'm there wit'cha. Sometimes, you've got to give a little 'tude to get things done!
